This is Nicolás' story:
"I am Nicolás and I am 11 years old. I have been baking for as long as I can remember.
I enjoy baking because I like making people happy with my food.
My Dad is Chilean and my Mum is British/Belgian. I live in the UK and my Dad lives in Chile. Coronavirus has meant that I haven't been able to see him this year. Whilst this has been difficult, I know that others in Chile have been very badly affected and so I decided to write a book. As a way to help, and as a way to feel more connected with my Dad and my birth country.
Touched by one particular Chilean family, who have, since March, found it difficult to put food on the table, I chose a charity who are helping lots of families in the same boat. I hope that in inspiring you to cook, I can also inspire you to donate!
The recipes in my book tell the story of me. Section one contains Chilean classics that I have grown up with (Tres Leches, Empanadas, Roscas and others!). Section two contains recipes inspired by people I love. In section three, I have included some of the things I enjoy baking."

Not only that, but they also source their produce direct from small farmers, thereby helping at the supply side as well.
Please donate what you can to help. You will receive an e-book to thank you for your donation.
If you would like to receive a paper copy, then please donate £10 or more (limited copies available, so get them whilst you can!).
All profits will go to Fundación Origen.
