Time & Location
About the Event
The Hilo Rojo Dance Company, directed by the choreographer Maria Jose Franco Campos, is a dance company that creates short stories through dance.
In this occasion The Hilo Rojo Company will present to the members of the Anglo Chilean Society its virtual play 'Madeja de Gestos'/‘Gesture’s Skein’, which takes a tour through all the Company's work to date.
The show includes four moments. It begins with the play ‘Hipotónico’/‘Hypotonic’ which is a solo that investigates the hypotonic condition of bodies.
Afterwards, ‘Viudas del Mar’/‘Widows of the Sea’ filmed in the mythical Plaza Echaurren in Valparaíso. The play is inspired by the funeral rite that is carried out in the Bio Bio region for fishermen who die at sea.
Later, the play ‘Gravitar’/ ‘Gravitate’ which is a journey through the craft of chinchin and contemporary dance.
Finally, a capsule created by Maureen Maynenicholls, which is made up from work carried out during 2019 for the Company.
After the performance, the Company team will delightfully participate in a discussion on the creation and production work with members of the Anglo Chilean Society.
