CHILEAN NEWS DIGITAL ARCHIVE
The Society is undertaking the task of digitising all 384 back copies of Chilean News, the magazine that used to give members news of the Society’s activities as well as highlighting events and social occasions affecting Chilean society in the UK. From the late 1990’s the News was edited by Mrs Georgina Roberts with the assistance of her husband, Michael.
Georgina was a dedicated editor and not much in the Chilean social scene escaped her. With Michael managing the layout, they produced an attractive magazine in colour for almost 20 years. Sadly, Michael, who was also Secretary of the Society from 2006, died suddenly in August 2015 and Georgina was unable to continue.
This digital archive is a tribute to the past efforts and dedication of Georgina, and all the many previous editors.
