On the 28th July members and former members of the Anglo Chilean Society committee and their partners as well as representatives of the Chilean Embassy gathered at The Bleeding Heart restaurant in Farringdon , East London to say farewell to Cristian Leon. Cristian has served as cultural attache and as a member of the executive committee for nearly 20 years.
Over some great food and wine guests showed their appreciation of all Cristian's endeavours for the last seventeen years.
Alasdair Grant, chairman of the society said that ' Cristian had played an important role in maintaining the links between the society and the Embassy. He had also been very important with his advice and support for Chilean cultural events in the UK. '
Cristian Leon responded that ' his experience in London had been the most important in his life and that he will always remember the special friends he had made in the UK.'
Mr Leon will be moving to Dublin for new adventures and another chapter in his life. The Society wishes him the very best for the future.
