Chilean guitarist Emmanuel Sowicz gave a sparkling recital on Saturday evening at the London Guitar Festival at Kings Place Hall. He included the world premiere of a piece entitled "Chilean Fantasy on Traditional English Melodies", which the Alan Macdonald Endowment of the Anglo Chilean Society commissioned for him from Chilean composer Juan Antonio Sanchez. Emmanuel was the outstanding winner of the 2018 London International Guitar Competition and has gone on to perform all over Europe. He will be giving the Chilean premier of the new composition in Santiago in November.
