The Anglo Chilean Society, is pleased to share highlights from our flagship event, the 2025 Mining Conference: Chile – The Future of Mining: Investing for the Future, held at the historic Society of Antiquaries of London on the 14th October 2025
This year’s conference brought together an exceptional delegation of leaders from government, mining, and finance to explore Chile’s strategic role in the global mining landscape—particularly in the development of critical minerals and sustainable resources.
We welcomed:
Aurora Williams, Chile’s Minister of Mining
Karla Flores, Director of InvestChile
Ambassador Ximena Fuentes
Matthew Chamberlain, CEO of the London Metal Exchange
Opening remarks were delivered by our Chairman, Fiona Clouder, setting the tone for a day of insightful dialogue and international collaboration.

The day concluded with a dynamic panel discussion moderated by Fiona Clouder, featuring industry experts – Maximo Pacheco (Codelco), Juan Pablo Schaeffer (Anglo American), Ignacio Mehech (Clean Tech Lithium) and Darryn Quayle (Worley) – covering themes of productivity, sustainability, finance and collaboration.
