We were delighted to join Armada de Chile in welcoming Chile’s training ship to Portsmouth, as part of their 68th instructional tour for officers and sailors in training.
This Instructional tour is particularly special as it marks the 70th anniversary of the Esmeralda.
On board for this journey, alongside the Chilean crew, are naval officers from various countries, including Argentina, Peru, Brazil, Panama, Spain, the United Kingdom, Portugal, and France. This demonstrates the friendship of our Navy with similar institutions in other nations.
