In February 2027, the parish church will celebrate its first 100 years. As this special anniversary approaches, the community is carrying out a series of small restoration and improvement projects to help ensure the church remains a welcoming landmark for the next century.
One of their main efforts is the reconstruction of the stained‑glass rose window, which was destroyed in the 2010 earthquake, along with the restoration of the other damaged stained‑glass windows. They are now preparing to begin the next stage: upgrading the lighting in the altar, the central nave, and the side aisles to enhance both daily use and community events.
These improvements will benefit the whole community, supporting concerts, talks, children’s activities, and gatherings for local schools and families.
The Anglo Chilean Society is proud to support this meaningful project in Lontué, Chile, helping preserve a place that brings people together.
