On the 9th of December, we brought together dear long-standing members alongside newer friends, whom we hoped would help shape the Society’s future. It felt like a very special moment, as our senior members shared stories and experiences that inspired everyone present to carry forward the Anglo-Chilean legacy. We called it the Future 80 event — a name chosen both to celebrate more than 80 years of the Society and to look ahead with hope, setting ourselves the goal of welcoming 80 new members in the years to come.

We were honoured to host this occasion at the Residence of the Ambassador of Chile, and it was a joy to have Her Excellency with us. Our Ambassador, Ximena Fuentes, expressed gratitude and celebrated the close relationship between the Embassy and the ACS. Fiona Clouder, the ACS Chairman, celebrated a successful year of events, grant-giving, and fundraising to support Chileans in need and to strengthen the future of the Society.

And, in the spirit of the season, we raised our glasses together with a Christmas drink, sharing laughter, warmth, and good cheer.
