Studio 12

The Anglo Chilean Society is pleased to award a grant from the Alan Macdonald Fund to support the Chilean-focused strand of Studio 12 Residency: A Door to Experimentation. This grassroots programme, led by artists Patricia Puertas Torrado and Tamara Al‑Mashouk, has quickly become an inclusive hub for experimental music and cross‑cultural exchange in Southwark, with a strong and growing Latin American audience.

Our support will enable Studio 12 to offer an additional residency place dedicated to a London‑based Chilean artist, along with a public event that highlights Chilean creativity within a wider Latinx/Abya Yala context. This extension reflects the rich traditions of Chilean experimental sound practice and responds to the vibrant Chilean community that engages with Studio 12’s work.

We are proud to contribute to a programme that nurtures emerging talent, strengthens cultural representation, and deepens community connections through accessible, artist‑led public engagement.
