‘Self-Criticism’, a play by the Chilean playwright, Constanza Hola.

The Anglo Chilean Society on behalf of the Alan Macdonald Endowment (AME) is very pleased and proud to have been able to help in this project through a donation of £1.000 to Constanza Hola.

The play, directed by Hola and Sebastián Concha, will soon go on tour to Chile, where it will be performed at the Centro Cultural Gabriela Mistral (GAM), perhaps the most prestigious performance venue in the country.

The preview performance will take place at 7:30 pm on Friday the 5th of April, at the Embassy of Chile, 37-41 Old Queen Street London, Greater London SW1H 9JA. The capacity of the room in which the performance will take place is rather limited, so if you wish to attend, please confirm ASAP by writing to acrook@embachile.co.uk.

'Self-Criticism' is a one-act play which explores, in a theatrical way, how society can help to build (or destroy) female personalities. The play is conducted through an honest, tough and sometimes nonsensical conversation between two characters, who, at first sight, seem to be prototypical women, but as the story develops, reveal themselves as opposites and complex characters.

After a successful rehearsed reading at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), ‘Self-Criticism’ was part of the Camden and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals.
