Project Trust: Imogen Dixon volunteering in Santiago

For many years the Anglo Chilean Society has been making an annual grant to Project Trust to enable two students to spend a year in Chile teaching English.

This is the case of Imogen Dixon who has shared her experience with us:

'My time in Chile so far has been amazing and I can’t quite believe I have nearly been here for 6 months! I have just returned to Santiago after travelling around Chile, Peru and Bolivia as it is currently the summer holidays. It has been incredible; three weeks of meeting new people, visiting beautiful places and living life! In the school I have run regular speaking workshops which means the students have immersive speaking practise at least once a week. I have also been teaching in 3rd to 8th grade classes which I have really enjoyed. When the new academic year starts in February I am planning on starting an English club after school for the more able students. Volunteering at Colegio Juan Luis Undurraga has already taught me so much and I am eager to get back to the students, staff and wonderful people I have got to know at the school.'

Thank you very much for enabling me to be here!
