HERITAGE DAY UK EMBASSY IN SANTIAGO: George Robledo's Centenary Exhibition

It was Heritage Day in Chile last Sunday, 31 May, and the Robledo’s Centenary Exhibition was held at the UK Ambassador’s Residence in Santiago, hosted by Ambassador David Concar.

They opened the doors of the residence to the public and even set up an outdoor tent dedicated entirely to George Robledo’s exhibition.

As the ACS, we are proud to have been part of this remarkable story — supporting the blue plaque at his former home and backing journalist Spencer Vignes and his book The George Robledo Story | Postcards From Santiago. It is a story that goes far beyond football: one of migration, resilience, and the enduring bond between Chile and the UK.
