The Anglo Chilean Society is proud to support MK Gallery by contributing funding towards the first major UK exhibition of pioneering Chilean photographer Paz Errázuriz.
MK Gallery will present the first major UK exhibition dedicated to the work of Paz Errázuriz (b. Santiago, 1944), a pioneering Chilean photographer and one of Latin America’s most important documentary artists. Over five decades, Errázuriz has built a vast and uncompromising body of work that continues to challenge social norms and political orthodoxies.
Despite her international recognition and reputation as a progressive female artist, her work has never before been the subject of a solo institutional exhibition in the UK. This landmark show at MK Gallery in Milton Keynes will feature 171 photographs, offering visitors a powerful insight into Chilean society during a period of profound historical change.
A programme of public talks and workshops will accompany the exhibition, offering further context on her enduring legacy as a deeply humanist and socially engaged photographer.
