Carmen Mardonez at The Knitting & Stitching Show 2025

The Anglo Chilean Society is delighted to announce its support for Chilean artist Carmen Mardonez, who has been awarded a grant to present a solo exhibition at The Knitting & Stitching Show in London, taking place October 9–12, 2025. This event is the UK’s largest and most prestigious textile showcase, attracting thousands of visitors and industry professionals.

Carmen, renowned for her oversized embroidery installations and textile sculptures, is the only Chilean—and the only Latin American—artist invited to exhibit this year.

The grant—awarded through the Alan Macdonald Endowment—allows the Anglo Chilean Society to continue its mission to champion Chilean artists and promote Chilean culture in the UK.
